Do you think you live with a ghost? Before setting another plate for dinner, make sure there are no natural explanations for strange happenings. For example, if the lights are flickering, have the electricity checked. If you notice an unusual fragrance, check your husband’s collar for lipstick.

If after you’ve researched all logical possibilities and you still feel a presence, take note. A haunted house might include one or more of the following signs:

· A chilly spot in a room

· Balls of lights in mid-air

· Objects moved, moving or missing

· Pets behaving strangely (their senses may be quite perceptive)

· Mists or vapors appearing

· Unusual fragrances

What should someone do if they discover a ghost nearby? Some experts advise talking directly to the being and telling them, nicely, to move along. Beware: Some say ghosts are actually demons trying to trick the living and should not be dealt with flippantly.

If you think it’s time to call for help, check out the Missouri Ghost Hunters Society. You also might want to sleep with the lights on.

Of course, there is probably no such thing as ghosts.

It’s almost Halloween, the perfect season to contemplate ghosts.

Some believe ghosts are the deceased who are unable or unwilling to leave the physical world. It is speculated they had unfinished business during their lives. Believers say when ghosts appear, they may be lost and simply be seeking assistance from the living to resolve their problems.

Could this be a ghost or just a photography trick?
